God of Wealth on Live22: Gold Ingots, Scatter Free Spins and the Cai Shen Animation

Cai Shen, the God of Wealth, turns up in half the lobbies in Malaysia. The Live22 version stands out for one thing: partway through some spins he fills the entire screen, grinning, a ruyi sceptre in one hand and a scroll in the other, while the win window says "Good Luck!" and the Spin button turns into a red Stop. This page looks at that moment and at the free-spins feature behind it.

Reels and symbols

The reels sit on a cream background framed in gold, with a painted landscape of waterfalls and blossom on both sides. The corner badge reads "HongKong". Symbols include:

• A ruyi sceptre decorated with a red flower
• A pair of koi leaping out of blue waves
• Longevity peaches
• A purple scroll and a brown gourd

The Cai Shen animation

The full-screen god is a teaser: he appears while the reels are still spinning and you can stop them early with the red Stop button. In our screenshot the balance had already been debited for the 40 bet and the reels behind him were still in motion. We did not see his appearance change the result by itself, so treat it as the game building suspense rather than a feature in its own right.

Line wins

Winning lines are traced with a yellow box around each symbol. On one spin a line of gold ingots with a green 9 in between paid "Line 17 Wins 20", and the fortune boy stacked on reel five added more, bringing the total to 175 at a Total Bet of 40. That line number tells you there are at least 17 lines in play.

Smaller spins look like the one below: green 9s linked on a zig-zag line for 5 a line and 30 in total.

Free spins and bets

The strip under the reels on the opening screen reads "3 scatter symbols awards free spins". We did not hit them here, so we cannot show the free-spins counter. The rest of the panel is standard for this frame: arrows around Total Bet (40 and 200 in our session), Max Bet, Auto Spin, Fast and Spin, with Grand, Major, Minor and Mini meters above.
