When Cai Shen lands, the game says his wild expands sideways, filling his row instead of his reel. On a six-reel board that can cover the same row on several reels and complete more than one line at a time. In the spin below, two Cai Shen symbols sat low on reels one and two and helped a line pay "Line 12 Wins 20", for 45 in total at a Total Bet of 50.
A single Cai Shen near the top of reel two, with 10s and 9s around it, gave a smaller "Line 23 Wins 10".
