Rome & Glory on ACE333: How the 10 Free Games and Mystery Scatter Work

Rome & Glory looks like a standard ancient-Rome slot until the free games start. Then it does something a bit smarter than most of the ACE333 lobby: it picks one symbol at random and turns it into a Scatter for the whole round. That feature is the reason to play it, so this page walks through it screen by screen.

The base game in brief

Five reels, three rows and twenty numbered lines on marble pillars down each side. The symbols have no card ranks at all:

• Framed portraits: Caesar with a laurel wreath, a dark-haired empress, and the Colosseum.
• Round and loose items: the gold SPQR eagle, a red-and-gold chariot, a bag of gold coins, a silver goblet of wine, a curved war horn, a sealed scroll and a bunch of grapes.

The first screenshot has all 20 lines at a Bet of 2.00. The rest of the session is on 1 line at 0.01.

Step 1: three Free Games banners

The trigger is a red banner with FREE GAMES written in gold. In the screenshot below three of them land on reels 2, 3 and 4. The header reads "You won a total of 0.07" and the Spin button changes to CLICK TO START.

Step 2: the mystery symbol

Next comes a courtyard screen with two Roman trumpeters, gold statues on the roof and the message YOU HAVE WON 10 FREE GAMES. In the middle, a gold frame spins through the symbols. Under it: "THIS SYMBOL WILL PAY AS SCATTER DURING FREE GAMES."

Step 3: the free spins

The reels turn olive green for the round. A Spins Left counter sits top left, Free Games Win top right, and between them a Mystery Scatter box shows the chosen symbol and what it pays for 2, 3, 4 and 5 anywhere on screen.

In this session the pick was Caesar. On the spin shown he is stacked on reels 3 and 5, so six Caesars were on screen at once, alongside a normal line win drawn in purple. That is the whole trick: a picture symbol that lands in stacks becomes far more valuable when it no longer needs a line.

Step 4: the summary

When the spins run out a Congratulations panel splits the result into Game Win (0.20), Feature Win (0.07) and Total Win (0.27), with a Continue button. On a 0.01 bet that is a small number, but it is 27 times the stake, and the balance moved from 26.17 to 26.41 across the session.
