Si Xiang on ACE333: Dragon, Tiger, Phoenix and Tortoise on the Reels

Si Xiang (四象) means "the Four Symbols", the four creatures that guard the directions in Chinese astronomy: the Azure Dragon of the east, the White Tiger of the west, the Vermilion Bird of the south and the Black Tortoise of the north. This ACE333 slot puts all four on the reels, framed in gold ovals against dark red lacquer.

The four guardians

Each beast has its own colour, which makes them easy to spot mid-spin:

• Azure Dragon: a green dragon with a white mane, on a green oval. It lands on reels 1 and 4 in these shots.
• White Tiger: a pale tiger leaping out of a blue oval.
• Vermilion Bird: a fiery phoenix on a red-orange oval. The opening screenshot catches it stacked on reel 3.
• Black Tortoise: a dark tortoise with a gold shell pattern. It appears only once in the ten screenshots, on reel 2, so it is the rarest of the four here.

The other special tiles

Two more symbols stand out from the rest:

• The gold Si Xiang logo: the game's name in red characters on a gold plaque. In games of this style the logo tile is usually the Wild, but the paytable is not shown, so treat that as likely rather than certain.
• The yin-yang bagua: a black-and-gold octagon with the eight trigrams around a yin-yang. It looks like the Scatter.

Brush-stroke card ranks

The low symbols are card ranks drawn to look like Chinese brush calligraphy: a red A, a green K, an orange 10, and blue, purple and silver strokes for the rest. They are good-looking but take a few spins to read, because at a glance the blue and silver strokes look like characters rather than letters.

Dollar Ball and the meters

Top left is the Dollar Ball badge marked ENABLE, and a red Progressive Jackpot ticker scrolls across the title.
