Monkey Thunderbolt is one of the odder games in the Joker123 lobby. There are no reels. Six cartoon monkeys, numbered 1 to 6 and each a different colour, climb tall poles in a race, and you bet on which two finish first. It borrows the Monkey King's look and none of the slot mechanics, which makes it a good contrast with the Monkey King slot on Playboy Casino.
The odds board
The betting screen is a triangle of red lanterns. Monkey numbers 1 to 5 run down the left and 6 to 2 across the top, so each lantern is one pair: 1 with 6, 1 with 5, down to 5 with 6. That is fifteen combinations, and because each pair appears only once the order of the first two should not matter.
Each lantern shows the odds for that pair. On the board in the first screenshot they range from 3 (pair 2-5) up to 1000 (pair 5-6). The next round the numbers were completely different, so the odds are reshuffled race by race.
Above the lanterns are three fan-shaped side bets: 庄 BANKER x2, 和 TIE x9 and 闲 PLAYER x2. The screenshots do not show how Banker and Player are decided, so read the info page before using them.
Other buttons: chips of 1, 10 and 100, CLEAR BETS and START. A banner reads JACKPOT X3 X4 X5 and Free Monkey, which suggests bonus multipliers and a free-bet feature on some rounds.
The race
Press START and the view switches to a village street where the six monkeys start climbing. The scene changes as they climb higher, and the finish is up above the clouds with a snowy mountain behind.
In this race monkeys 2 and 5 reached the top first, and the result 2-5 flashed across the screen.
Results panel
The LAST RESULTS column on the right keeps the last five races (the "5R" label). Each line shows the pair, the odds it paid and the side-bet result. Here 2-5 is listed at 3, which matches the lantern for 2-5 on the previous board. The strip above the board shows your balance and a changing label (FINISHER 6 in one screenshot, SPRINTER 1 in another).
How to bet it
Low-odds lanterns are the favourites and high-odds ones are long shots, and the board resets every race. Spreading chips over many pairs just averages you toward the house edge. One or two pairs per race with the 1 chip is enough to enjoy the animation without draining the balance.
