Southern Fortune Lion on Live22: A One-Line Lion Dance Slot with an X1 to X3 Bet Value

Southern Fortune Lion strips a slot back to its bones. Three reels, one payline across the middle, and a symbol set taken straight from a Chinese New Year lion dance. If you have ever stood outside a shop in January watching the lion climb a pole, you will recognise everything on these reels.

Symbols

The reels are white with a faint cloud pattern, inside a red frame with lattice corners. What lands on them:

• The lion dance head, blue and white with big eyes and a red mouth
• The Big Head Buddha mask, the grinning figure who teases the lion in the dance
• A pair of gold cymbals with red ribbons
• A green lion drum marked with the character for spring
• A pair of red firecrackers with gold caps
• A red diamond with the character Fa (prosper)

The lion is the headline symbol, as the name suggests. In our screenshot a lion on reel two between two Fa diamonds made "Total Win: 100", which hints that the lion stands in for other symbols. The i button confirms how.

One payline, and why that matters

"Payline" tabs point at the centre row from both sides. Nothing above or below counts. That makes wins rarer than on a multi-line slot, but each one is larger compared with the stake, because the whole bet sits on one line. Our 100 Total Bet returned exactly 100 on that spin, so this particular combination paid the stake back.

The panel is red: a +/- button for Total Bet, Max Bet, the win window with crowns, Auto Spin, Fast and a large round Spin button. Below it sits a separate "Bet Value" strip with X1, X2 and X3. On classic three-reel machines, higher multipliers often open bigger top prizes, so read the pay table before assuming X3 is only a bigger stake.

Pacing

Single-line games are streaky. Set a Total Bet that gives you at least 60 to 80 spins, leave the Bet Value on X1 while you learn how often the lion appears, and use Fast if you like the quick rhythm of an old fruit machine.
