The Mulan on Live22: A Warrior-Legend Slot with Four Rows and Dozens of Lines

The Mulan takes its theme from the old Chinese ballad of Hua Mulan, the daughter who took her father's place in the army. There are no cartoon sidekicks here. The art is painted and serious: an army camp with a wooden watchtower and tents on the left, a big war drum on the right, and reels full of armour, banners and a red dragon. It carries a Beijing badge in the Live22 jackpot frame.

A first session on the 5x4 grid

The first thing you notice is height. There are four rows instead of three, so twenty symbols to read on every spin. The line count climbs with it: in our screenshots a win came in on line 28. The win window names the line each time ("Line 10 Wins 10", "Line 28 Wins 10"), and a thin yellow line traces the path across the reels.

The opening screen also shows the reminder "Max bet for higher winnings" in the win window. You can ignore it.

The dragon and horse often land stacked, as on the opening screen where both covered the top two rows of the first reels.

How the wins looked

At a Total Bet of 50, card-rank lines paid 10 each. A V-shaped line of Ks returned 10, and with a second line the spin made 20. A line of As running up and back down across the grid paid another 10 on line 28.

Those are small returns against a 50 bet, which is normal for a many-line game: each line carries only a small part of the stake. The big results depend on the stacked dragons and horses lining up.

Blue arrows sit either side of Total Bet (200 and 50 in our session), followed by Max Bet, the win window, Auto Spin, Fast and Spin. Grand, Major, Minor and Mini meters run across the top.

Pacing

Because many lines means many small wins, the balance moves slowly in both directions. That makes The Mulan a reasonable choice for a longer session at a modest bet. Start at the lower end of Total Bet and watch how often the stacked symbols appear before you move up.
