Base wins are modest. Three chunks of copper ore across the middle row made "Line 1 Wins 10" at a Total Bet of 20, half the stake back.
The free-spins round, step by step
1. The trigger. A timber sign drops over the reels: "Congratulations, you won x10 free spins", with the prospector leaning on his pickaxe beside it. The total already on the bar at that point was 40, from the triggering spin.
2. The spins. Press Continue and the ten spins run on their own. The bet panel changes: the Spin button becomes a red Stop, and a counter shows how many free spins are left. Your Total Bet stays at the level you triggered on, so the free spins are worth more if you were betting higher.
3. The collect screen. When the counter reaches 0/10, a second sign appears: "Congratulations, you won 260", with a green Collect button. The prospector winks this time. At a Total Bet of 20, that round returned thirteen times the stake.

How to pace it
The free spins are where the value is, and the base game mostly pays back part of your bet. Pick a stake that gives you enough spins to reach the feature: at 20 per spin, a few hundred credits gives you a reasonable run.
