Highway Kings on LPE88: The Original Truck Slot at RM0.09 a Spin

Highway Kings is a trucker slot most Malaysian players have met in one app or another, and LPE88 carries the Playtech original. It runs in a desktop-style window with ringgit balances, a red and a green big rig flanking the logo, and a Dollar Ball badge in the corner. If you have played the versions on other apps, this is the Playtech game behind the name.

How it differs from the other two

Three apps in our guide carry this game in some form:

• LPE88 (this page): the Playtech original, 9 lines, bets in RM, with the optional Dollar Ball side game.
• Playboy Casino: High Road King, branded Highroad Kings JP, which pays both ways and sits under Grand, Major, Minor and Mini jackpot meters.
• Rollex11: Highway Kings Pro, the later "Pro" update of the game.

On LPE88 there are no extra jackpot meters over the reels. What you get instead is Dollar Ball, and you can choose to ignore it.

Reels and symbols

Five reels, three rows, nine lines with the numbered tabs down both sides (4, 6, 2, 8, 1, 9, 3, 7, 5). The symbols are all truck-stop objects: tyres, steering wheels, spark plugs, pistons, red dice, fuel pumps and jerry cans, plus the red and green trucks.

• Wild: the red truck with a yellow WILD label.
• Scatter: a red no-entry circle over an exhaust pipe, labelled SCATTER.

The bet panel

This is one of LPE88's older-style panels. The coin (RM0.01) has minus and plus buttons, then Paytable, Bet One, Bet Max and Spin. With all 9 lines on, the Bet box shows RM0.09 and Line Bet RM0.01.

Nine lines at RM0.01 is about as cheap as a five-reel slot gets. The flip side is that the wins are small too.

What the screenshots show

The balance moves in cents at this stake: MYR98.66, 98.59, 98.54 and 98.50 across the four screenshots.

• The red truck wild on reel 4 completed line 6 for RM0.20.
• The wild again, this time on line 8, for RM0.04.
• Jerry cans on line 8 with two scatters sitting on reels 3 and 4 paid RM0.05.

The two scatters added nothing to that spin. What scatters pay, and how many you need, is on the Paytable button; check it rather than assuming this game has the free-spins round that many newer copies add.

Dollar Ball: leave it off unless you want it

The Enable button under the Dollar Ball badge switches on a separate side bet with its own progressive (the ticker above it showed around RM339,000). It is a lottery-style add-on, and it costs extra on every spin. If you are playing Highway Kings at RM0.09 to make a small balance last, turning it on changes that maths completely.
