Download Mega888 on iPhone and Android

Mega888 shipped as two iPhone builds and an Android APK. Which one a phone needs, what installing means, and how to tell the lobby is working once you log in.

Mega888 is often mentioned in the same breath as 918Kiss, and its download setup was almost identical: two iPhone builds and one Android file, nothing for Windows or Mac, and nothing in the official app stores.

We do not link the files any more. The old ones were hosted in a storage bucket that has since been emptied, and an app file of unknown origin is not worth the risk. Here is what existed, and how to check you have the right one.

What the 2018 page offered

  • iOS 64-bit, listed for "iPhone 5 above, iPhone 6, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone X, iPad"
  • iOS 32-bit, listed for "iPhone 5 below"
  • Android APK

The iPhone split follows Apple's chips. The iPhone 5s was the first with a 64-bit chip, so "iPhone 5 above" meant the 5s onward. Since iOS 11, 32-bit apps do not run at all. Today you want the 64-bit build.

Mega888 and 918Kiss look alike, but the apps and IDs are not interchangeable. An installer labelled for one will not open the other.

Installing, in one paragraph per phone

iPhone. Mega888 is signed with an enterprise certificate rather than through the App Store. After the install, iOS blocks it as an "Untrusted Enterprise Developer" until you trust the profile under Settings > General > Device Management. Only do that for an app you got from someone you trust. If Apple revokes the certificate, the app stops opening and you need a new link.

Android. Allow installs from the browser or file manager you used to open the APK, install it, then turn that permission off again.

How to tell the install worked

When Mega888 is installed and your ID is valid, the lobby is easy to recognise:

  • the Mega888 logo top centre, your balance with a gold coin at top left and your account number at top right
  • a Hot Game badge in the corner and a Game Directory tab down the left edge
  • a grid of game tiles, which in our session included Poker Three, Ocean King, Da Sheng Nao Hai, Li Kui Pi Yu, Motorbike, Robin Hood, Alice and African Wildlife
  • Menu, History and Suggestion along the bottom, with a Special Bonus counter in the right corner

If the tiles load but the balance shows 0.00, the app is fine. The account simply has not been topped up yet. If the app crashes before this screen, the build is the problem.

Getting a working link and an ID

Mega888 links change and the app does nothing without a login. There is no registration screen, and IDs are issued by agents. Ask for both in one go: get a Mega888 game ID and download link from our partner.

Questions players ask

Can I use my 918Kiss app to play Mega888?

No. They are separate apps with separate logins. A 918Kiss ID will not work in Mega888, and the reverse is also true.

My iPhone installed Mega888 but it closes immediately. Why?

The usual causes are a 32-bit build on a phone that needs 64-bit, or an enterprise certificate that has been revoked. Ask for a fresh link to the current 64-bit build.

Is Mega888 on Google Play or the App Store?

It was not when we covered it. Every install came from a file or link handed out by agents.
