Mega888: How It Compares With 918Kiss, and What Is Inside

Ask a Malaysian slot player about Mega888 and the next sentence usually mentions 918Kiss. The two apps look alike, have similar game lists, and players often move between them. But they are separate apps with separate logins, and Mega888 has some habits of its own.

This page compares the two where it helps, then walks through what Mega888's lobby holds.

What is the same as 918Kiss

• Style. Bright, busy lobby tiles, big jackpot numbers and a bottom bar with Balance, Lines, Bet, Win, Auto and Spin in most slots.
• Distribution. Neither app is in Google Play or the App Store. In 2018 both came as a 64-bit iPhone build, a 32-bit iPhone build and an Android APK.
• Accounts. No sign-up screen. An agent creates the ID and handles money.
• Jackpot meters. Slots carry Random, Major and Minor meters above or beside the reels.

What is different

The lobby layout. Mega888 opens on a dark city skyline with the logo top centre, your coin balance top left and your account number top right. A Hot Game badge sits in the corner and a Game Directory tab runs down the left edge. Along the bottom are Menu, History and Suggestion buttons, and a gold Special Bonus counter fills the bottom-right corner.

The "10000 Times" games. Several tiles are stamped "10000 Times": Ocean King, Da Sheng Nao Hai and Li Kui Pi Yu in our capture. That is a label on the tile art, not a promise. Nothing on screen says how often any multiplier lands.

Account numbers. Mega888 IDs are long strings of digits. Keep yours private like a password. Anyone with the number and password can play your balance.

Timed online tables. Some table games run on a shared countdown rather than one hand at a time. More on that below.

Fish games: Ocean King Ultimate

Ocean King is the fish shooter most Mega888 players try first. The Ultimate version opens on a purple sea with four cannon stations, one in each corner, each showing its bet with plus and minus buttons and a running balance.

On the right are three controls: Lock, Switch and Auto. As in most fish games of this type, Lock keeps your cannon on one fish, Switch moves it to another target and Auto fires continuously. Auto is where budgets go. It keeps firing at your chosen bet until you stop it, so set a small cannon value first.

Li Kui Pi Yu makes you choose a room before you start: 100 Times, with cannon multipliers from x10 to x100, or 1000 Times, from x100 to x1000. The low room is the sensible place to learn. It also has its own Auto and Lock buttons.

Slots

Mega888 slots follow one of two looks.

The classic look is Sun Wukong: a painted Journey to the West frame, 15 numbered lines, Minor, Random and Major meters across the top, and a bottom bar with BAL, Lines, Bet, Win, Auto and Spin. The characters are Sun Wukong himself, Pigsy, Sandy and the white horse, over 9 to A card symbols.

The newer, brighter look is Lucky Duck, a beach game with rubber ducks in sunglasses, soap bars, starfish, umbrellas and drinks. Its meters (Random, Major, Minor) sit in a column on the left, with Game Win and Current Balance underneath.

Other titles worth a look: Monkey Story, Fruit vs Candy, Ireland, Lost Island and Silent Run.

Timed online tables

This is the part of Mega888 that 918Kiss players find strange at first. Sic Bo opens as a list of tables, labelled [A] and [B] with limits of 0.5 to 1000, each with a countdown dial marked TIME and a strip of recent dice results.

Racing Car works the same way: an "Online RacingCar" table with a 10-second countdown and a row of past winners shown as car badges, including a "Big Three" result. Shark is another one, despite the name: an "Online Shark" table whose results strip shows animals such as pandas, monkeys, birds and a rabbit. Everyone bets during the countdown and the result applies to the whole table.

Roulette is here too. Because rounds come round on a timer, these games can feel slower than a slot. They are also easy to play round after round without noticing the total.

Devices

The 2018 page listed a 64-bit iPhone build (for the iPhone 5s and newer), a 32-bit build for older iPhones, and an Android APK. Modern iPhones need the 64-bit one. There was no Windows client. Several of our slot screenshots were taken in NoxPlayer, an Android emulator on a PC, which is how some players use it on a computer.
