Sic Bo on Mega888: Choosing Bets That Suit a Small RM Balance

Sic Bo is the three-dice game from the Chinese casino tradition, and the Mega888 version is a clean digital table: a shaker dish, a blue felt layout with every payout printed on it and a row of chips from 0.5 up to 1000. The rules are simple. The real question is which boxes to use when you are playing with RM20 rather than RM2,000.

Picking a table

The lobby lists two tables, [A] 0.5-1000 and [B] 0.5-1000, each with a countdown and a long strip of recent rolls shown as stacks of three dice. Both have the same limits. The history is interesting to look at and useless for predicting anything.

What the felt pays, and how often it lands

The payouts below are printed on the Mega888 table. The "roughly 1 in" column is the probability with three fair dice.

Two-dice combinations (1 & 2 up to 5 & 6) and totals 5 and 16 also have boxes; their labels were hidden in the screenshots, so read the payout on your screen.

Every line in that table pays a little less than the true odds, which is how the house edge works. It is thinnest on Big and Small and much wider on the triples and outer totals.

Sizing bets on a small balance

With a RM20 balance and the 0.5 minimum:

• Big or Small at 0.5 a roll gives a long, slow session. Wins and losses come in roughly equal measure.
• Totals and doubles land far less often. Total 4 lands about once in 72 rolls, and there is roughly an even chance of going 50 rolls (25 at 0.5 a time) without seeing one.
• Triples are lottery tickets. A specific triple averages one hit in 216 rolls.

A sensible split is mostly Big/Small with, at most, one small chip on a total if you want some colour. Stacking chips across many boxes just spends the balance faster.

Buttons

Save Bet stores a layout, Auto Rebet repeats the last one each round, and Re bet in the corner places it once. The round timer sits top right beside MIN 0.5 / MAX 1000, and Bet, Win and Balance are bottom left. A results grid in the top left marks each roll BIG or SMALL.
