Li Kui Pi Yu on Mega888: Picking a Room in the Fish Shooting Game

Li Kui Pi Yu (李逵劈鱼, roughly "Li Kui cleaves the fish") is one of the fish shooting games in the Mega888 lobby, the kind Malaysian players call tembak ikan. Li Kui is the axe-swinging hero from the Chinese classic Water Margin, and the name has been used for a whole family of arcade fish games. Its opening screen asks the first question that matters: which room to sit in.

The two rooms

The selection screen has two cards:

• 100 Times, with a grinning cartoon shark on a pile of gold coins, labelled x10 to x100.
• 1000 Times, with a big-eyed red fish on a money bag, labelled x100 to x1000.

The ranges are the cannon multipliers you can set in each room. The low end is the cheapest shot and the high end the most expensive. So the 1000 Times room is not just "bigger prizes": its cheapest shot costs as much as the most expensive one in the 100 Times room.

How the table works

Behind the menu you can see the underwater table: a sunken shipwreck, coral, and player seats marked WAITING at the top and bottom edges. Fish games like this seat several players around one tank, each with their own cannon.

You tap to fire, each shot is deducted from your balance, and when a fish is caught you are paid its value times your cannon multiplier. Bigger fish are worth more and usually take more hits. On the right side are two round buttons:

• Auto: fires continuously without tapping.
• Lock: fixes your aim on one fish so shots follow it.

Both are convenient, and both spend credits quickly, especially Auto.

Spending carefully

Fish games feel like skill games, but the payouts are set by the game and include a house edge, so no aiming routine changes the long-run result. Start in the 100 Times room at x10, turn Auto off, and watch how fast the balance moves before raising the multiplier.
