Lucky Duck on Mega888: a Beach-Day Slot With a Rubber Duck Free Play Symbol

Lucky Duck is a sunny, soft-coloured slot set on the beach: sand-yellow frame, soap bubbles floating across the top and a swim ring on the logo. The name comes from a yellow rubber duck in sunglasses with FREE PLAY written on its body, and that duck is the symbol to look out for.

Some older write-ups describe a 20-line fruit machine under this name. The Mega888 version is not that. It runs 30 lines and uses beach items instead of fruit.

The two special symbols

• Rubber duck (Free Play): yellow, orange beak, dark shades. Given the label, it is the free-games trigger; up to two appear in the screenshots, and they do not start anything on their own. Check the paytable (menu icon, top left) for how many you need.
• WILD mug: a frothy orange mug with WILD written on the glass. It appears on reels 2 to 4 in the screenshots and helped the biggest win shown.

Beach symbols

Soap bar, starfish, beach umbrella, a striped paper cup with a straw, a pink-and-blue swim ring, a cocktail glass with a lemon slice, an ice cream cone with a cherry, yellow swim fins and a yellow swimsuit. There are no card ranks, so every symbol is a picture.

What the wins looked like

Six spins at 30 credits a time:

• Soap bars on line 24: 15.
• Three soap bars along the bottom row: 30 over two lines.
• Paper cups on line 12: 70, more than double the bet.
• Beach umbrella and mugs on line 21: 10.
• Ice cream with two WILD mugs: 100 in total, with line 27 alone paying 50.
• Swimsuits and a duck line: 65 in total.

The winning symbols get a bubble frame and a big green number shows what each line paid, while the bar below the reels reads "Total Win" and the line number.

Bet and credits

Like several Mega888 titles, Lucky Duck counts in credits. The Bet box shows 30 between minus and plus keys, with the balance (labelled Current Balanec, the game's typo) around 2,100. Three meters on the left, Random, Major and Minor, run into six digits for the same reason. Autoplay and Spin sit bottom right.

Pacing it

The screenshots show a steady run of wins between a third of the bet and just over three times it. It is a light, easy-going game. Stick to the minimum, check what a credit is worth in RM, and give the ducks time.
