Blackjack on 918Kiss (SCR888): the Table Rules and What Each Button Does

A five-box blackjack table where the dealer stands on all 17s, blackjack pays 3 to 2 and surrender is on the menu. Here is how each decision works in the app.

Blackjack in the 918Kiss lobby is a straight single-player version of the casino classic: you against the dealer, nobody else at the table. The rules are printed on the felt, which is more than some apps bother with, and they are reasonably player-friendly.

The rules printed on the table

Three lines on the blue felt tell you most of what you need:

  • Blackjack pays 3 to 2. An ace plus a ten-value card as your first two cards pays 1.5 times your stake.
  • Dealer must draw to 16 and stand on all 17s. The dealer has no choices. Below 17 they hit; at 17 or above, including a soft 17, they stop.
  • Insurance pays 2 to 1. Only offered when the dealer's face-up card is an ace.

The aim is to finish closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Picture cards count 10, aces count 1 or 11, and the app shows your running total above each hand (you can see 10, 17 and 14 in the screenshots), so you never need to add up.

Buttons and decisions

Once cards are dealt, four round buttons appear along the bottom right:

  • Hit: take another card.
  • Stand: stop and keep your total.
  • Double: double the stake, take exactly one more card.
  • Surrender: give up the hand and get half your stake back. Useful on a hard 15 or 16 against a dealer 10.

When the dealer shows an ace, the table pauses and gives you Insurance or Skip insurance before play continues.

Five boxes and the chip rack

There are five betting circles. You can drop chips on one or several; the screenshots show two boxes played together at 0.5 each. The chip rack on the left holds 0.5, 1, 5, 10 and 50, and the top-left panel shows the limits: MIN 0.5, MAX 1000.

Playing two boxes doubles your stake per round, it does not improve your odds. It just makes the balance move faster in both directions.

Playing it sensibly

Blackjack has one of the lower house edges in the lobby, but only if you play close to basic strategy: stand on hard 17 and up, hit hard 12 to 16 against a dealer 7 or higher, stand on 12 to 16 against a dealer 2 to 6 (hit 12 against a 2 or 3), and double 11 against anything but an ace. None of that guarantees a winning session. It just stops you giving away more than the table already takes.

Questions players ask

Can I play more than one hand at a time in 918Kiss Blackjack?

Yes. The table has five betting circles and the screenshots show chips on two of them at once. Each box is played in turn, and each one needs its own stake.

Should I take insurance?

Insurance is a side bet that the dealer has blackjack. It pays 2 to 1, but over time it costs more than it returns for a player who is not counting cards, so most players skip it.
