Animal Band in Playboy Casino (Play8oy): How the Animal Wheel and Bet Board Work

Animal Band is one of the odd ones in the Playboy Casino (also written Play8oy) lobby: there are no reels. It is a round-based wheel game in the style of the "forest party" machines you see in Asian arcades. A ring of cartoon animals sits around a coloured track, a pointer spins in the middle, and you bet on which animal and colour it stops on.

The app borrows a famous magazine name, but nothing in it points to any link with Playboy Enterprises. It is simply the brand the operator chose.

The round cycle

Every round has a number (bottom right, e.g. "Round No. 118271386"). Between rounds the screen shows the lion, penguin, owl and zebra behind a "Wait For Next Round" banner. Then the bet board opens with a big countdown in the top left (22 seconds in our screenshot).

Reading the bet board

The board is a grid of twelve animal tiles: lion, zebra, penguin and a pink owl-like character, each in a red, green and yellow row. Every tile shows the current payout number and, underneath, how much you have on it. In the round we captured:

• Lion: 40 red, 25 green, 46 yellow
• Zebra: 20, 12, 23
• Penguin: 11, 7, 13
• Owl: 7, 4, 8

The rarer the combination, the bigger the number, and these values move from round to round. The right-hand column is a separate side bet: heart at 2, spade at 2 and a clown at 26. The heart-or-spade result appears in the framed box at the top left of the wheel screen, so it behaves like a two-way pick with the clown as the long shot. The strip across the top of the board is the history of recent results, both suits and animals.

Placing and confirming a bet

Pick a chip value (50 in the screenshots), tap tiles, then press Confirm. Only after Confirm does the yellow "Bets sent Successfully" line appear and Total Play update (100 in our case, two chips on the red penguin). Undo takes back the last chip, Double doubles everything on the board, and the left button switches between Rebet (repeat last round) and Clear.

The spin and the Bonus multiplier

When betting closes, the wheel screen returns with "Good Luck" across the track and the pointer starts turning. Top right is a Bonus box: x0 in one round, x6 and x7 in others. It looks like a round multiplier drawn at random, though the i button is the place to check exactly what it applies to.

How to pace it

Rounds are short and the countdown pushes you along, which makes it easy to overbet. A small, steady chip on one lower-paying tile (penguin or owl) keeps a session going longer than chasing the 40-plus lions. Decide your stake before the timer starts and use Rebet rather than rebuilding the board every round.
