Crazy Shark in the Playboy Casino (also written Play8oy) lobby looks like a fish-shooting game at first glance, but you do not shoot anything and there are no reels. It is a betting round. Sea creatures swim across a sunken temple floor, sharks eat most of them, and you bet on which creature is left alive at the end, or which caged shark bursts out.
The betting screen
Each round starts with a countdown in the middle (22 seconds in our capture) and a row of eight creature tiles. Left to right they are clownfish, angelfish, lionfish, anglerfish, turtle, ammonite, lobster and crab. Under them sit three caged sharks: silver, pink and gold. Each tile shows its multiplier for the round and your stake underneath.
In the round we captured the board read x4, x8, x12, x24, x24, x12, x8, x4, with the sharks at x24, x32+ and x30+. The player had 50 on the green anglerfish (Total Bet 50). The chip button says Bet x5 and Clear wipes the board. A row of creature icons across the top is the recent results strip.
The rules screen
The in-game help (i button) spells it out:
- 13 bet options: 11 sea creatures (the eight on the board plus three sharks) and the Fish and Shell classification bets.
- Creature odds come as ranges: clownfish and crab x3-6, angelfish and lobster x6-8, lionfish, anglerfish, turtle and ammonite x12-24.
- Fish x2 / Shell x2 cover the whole left or right group.
- Sharks: silver x24, pink x32-123, gold x30-36. You are guessing "which shark will rush out of the cage".
- History: tap the fish history in the middle of the screen to see results from the last 40 games.
How a round ends
When betting closes the tiles slide to the edges, the sharks sweep through, and the survivor is circled in blue with its name in large letters. In our round it was "Ammonite", the x12 tile on the right. The 50 on the anglerfish lost.
Pacing
The spread of odds maps neatly to risk. Fish or Shell at x2 is close to a coin flip, the x3-6 creatures are the steady picks, and the pink shark is a long shot with a big upper range. Rounds come fast, so fix a per-round stake and stick to one or two tiles instead of covering the board, which just returns part of your stake each time.

Questions players ask
Why do the multipliers change between rounds?
The Odds Table gives a range for most tiles, e.g. x12-24 for the lionfish or x3-6 for the clownfish. The value shown on the tile at betting time is the one for that round.
What are the Fish and Shell bets?
Classification bets at x2. Fish covers the four fish on the left side of the table, Shell covers the turtle, ammonite, lobster and crab on the right.
